Orem, UT, October, 2007 – Sunroc, a leader in Building and Masonry products celebrated the grand opening of a new concrete block plant. The production facility, located on River Road in St. George, Utah, makes the firm the largest concrete block masonry provider in Utah. The new 19,000-square-foot facility will also allow the firm to increase the variety of products and color options.

“This new facility is key as southern Utah continues to grow and develop,” said Russel Leslie, Sunroc vice president of concrete products. “With this facility, we have the added production capacity to meet the demands of the growing southern Utah both now and in the future.”

Sunroc concrete masonry and architectural blocks are used in the construction of large buildings. Examples include Snow Canyon High, Best Buy, Walmart and Costco Warehouses. Another application of Sunroc Masonry blocks is retaining walls and fencing.

“This facility is really the keystone of Sunroc in Southern Utah,” said Troy Bradshaw, location sales manager. “We’ve not only built a high-capacity manufacturing plant, we’ve doubled our size in square footage, modernized our existing buildings and showroom, and we’ve invested a lot into landscaping and aesthetics to make the facility a pleasing place for our customers to visit.”

The open house welcomed an approximate 500 guests who were treated to lunch and facility tours. Supporters included Clyde Companies executives, contractors, city and chamber of commerce leaders, support vendors and customers. “It was an outstanding representation across the board,” Leslie said.

Based in St George, Utah, Sunroc, a subsidiary of Clyde Companies, is a premiere construction services provider that builds value for its customers, employees, shareholders and community.
